Dr Neil Witt is Head of Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) at the University of Plymouth. This role follows 4 years spent as the Technical Director of the Higher Education Learning Partnerships Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (HELP CETL). Previous to this Neil was Senior Lecturer in Navigation Systems, Marine Communications and Telematics since 1995. His current role allows him to share his expertise in TEL with colleagues across the University and with partner colleges across the South West. He is responsible for strategic development, coordination and implementation of University-wide TEL policies and initiatives and for providing support to Faculties in translating and implementing these policies and initiatives. Neil leads the further development of TEL across the university and the research and enquiry underpinning it in support of the university’s teaching and learning agenda. He coordinates relevant internally and externally facing TEL activities and manages a portfolio of JISC funded projects.
