[edit] 2 (2) Work programme

[edit] 2.1 (A) Review of existing work / Steeple format

Key output: Minimal specification.

What makes a minimal set?

Possible avenues for annotations:

  • 1. linked annotation, as .srt ...

  • Invite additional people

{{comment|text= ~~~~: ..... }}

[edit] 5 Further reading:

http://switchaaa.hefr.ch/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=17&Itemid=30 There are, and that is part of the problem, a number of metadata sets and technologies beginning to emerge, either as “traditional” metadata following the Dublin Core scheme, isochronic or dynamic metadata within MPEG-7 or - in a more technical perspective - RSS-oriented techniques to deliver metadata. However, no definition of metadata has yet achieved the status of a standard accepted at least within the academic community. ... This workpackage aims at developing a standardised metadata scheme for academic audiovisual content in the domain of e-learning, based on national and international institute requirements. The challenge of this workpackage is to gather all the institute needs into one common metadata scheme and go beyond the traditional (administrative) metadata scheme taking into consideration the archival and import/export issues. Several tasks are taken within this workpackage such as analyzing the state of the art of existing projects and standards, choosing significant institutes to be interviewed in order to define and establish their requirements, establishing descriptive survey about the important information to be integrated within the metadata scheme (administrative information, audiovisual content, document life cycle, etc.).
