[edit] 3 Getting relevant content to communities

One of the benefits that Steeple is exploring is the ability to get content that is relevant to a particular community closer to that community.

This might be content relevant to science teachers closer to those teachers (c.f. Bjoern's talk at the recent BeyondWalls2009 event, and c.f. http://www.sciencelearningcentres.org.uk/).

Another example are "information portals" aimed at particular groups of academics. For instance, the Cambridge University library runs a science subject portal, that offers academics search facilities for academic information. As part of this portal, a number of Steeple feeds are aggregated (into the the Cambridge University library system) and displayed on the science portal. Here are some examples:
