Ubuntu 9.10 VM will be available: Script to create VMs for VirtualBox, Xen, VMWare, ...
Base camp: Dual Quad Xeon with 12GB RAM to run 4-8 VMs.

Not just software - hardware reference implementation available. Requirements was
- Stable
- Cheap (£500-£800)
- 1 x VGA + 1 x NTSC/PAL + 1 x 3.5mm
- Platform independent (i.e. runs on Ubuntu)
gstreamer framework
Ubuntu seems to have good status in the project - that's great!

Contact Markus, and the Matterhorn list, also do community feature request to support steeple specification.

Capture agent downloads configuration from the server, and after capture pushes data back to server. The server doesn't need to see the capture agent, so capture agent can be behind of firewall/nat etc.
